You're Already Chosen
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit — fruit that will last."
John 15:16Reflection
Before you had a plan for your life, God had a plan for you. Before you knew His name, He knew yours. Before you did anything to earn it, He looked at you and said — chosen.
We spend so much time wondering if we are enough. Enough for God. Enough for the calling. Enough for the season we are in. But John 15:16 quietly flips the whole question. This was never about you choosing Him first. He chose you. He appointed you. Not because you got your life together, but because He saw something in you worth appointing.
And notice what He appointed you for — to bear fruit that lasts. Not fruit that impresses people. Not fruit that fades in a week. Lasting fruit. A life that means something. A love that goes somewhere. A faith that actually sticks.
You do not have to earn your place at the table today. You were invited before you even knew there was a table.
Prayer
God, I want to stop fighting the fact that You chose me. I do not always feel chosen. Some days I feel forgotten. But today I am choosing to believe what You said — that You picked me on purpose. Help me live like someone who knows they are wanted. Amen.
You were not picked last. You were chosen first.
